You will earn a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and Social Sciences from California State University, Fullerton, a fully accredited state university.
Not unless you tell them. There is no indication on the transcript or diploma that the courses were completed online.
The faculty members of the online program are the same faculty that teach in our on-campus programs. Faculty members bring state-of-the-art practices, concepts and technologies to the curriculum and classroom through active involvement in research projects. Many faculty members bring first-hand experience to their courses through involvement in consulting and executive training activities.
The program can be completed in three years via part-time enrollment. You will complete two courses total in each term (Fall, Spring and Summer) for the first two years. In the third year, you will complete two courses in the Fall and Spring and one course in the Summer. For a full course schedule, see the Program Schedule page.
The program has a flat rate of $425 per unit (for both California residents and non-residents), making it one of the best values from an accredited university.
You can fill out and submit your application via Cal State Apply. See our Apply page for a step-by-step application guide.
Note: if you have any questions about the application process, feel free to contact us or make an appointment with Program Advisor Whitney Youngren. Appointments are available in person, by phone and online.
Applications for Fall 2019 will be accepted from October 1, 2018 to July 1, 2019. This program allows applications for Fall semesters only. Fall 2019 is the next semester open for applications.

Admission requirements include completing all lower-division coursework and having at least 69 transferable units from another institution.
If you do not meet the requirements, you may still be conditionally admitted into the program. For more information, see the Requirements page.
You can use ASSIST to find out whether your units will transfer to the program. ASSIST provides the most accurate and up-to-date information available about student transfer in California. If you have taken related coursework somewhere other than CSUF, a course evaluation may be recommended during the application process.
Because this program includes the same classes and is taught by the same instructors as its on-campus counterparts, your experience will be similar to that of an on-campus student (with the added convenience of learning online). However, there are a few things you should know before you get started. To learn more about how to succeed as an online student, please visit our Learning Online page.
To ensure you have the necessary equipment and software to learn online successfully, please see our technical requirements .
Like on-campus classes, each online course is structured differently depending on the instructor. Generally, instructors teach courses through discussion boards, pre-recorded video lectures and PowerPoint presentations.
You will take all of your exams online through Titanium, Cal State Fullerton’s online learning system. You are not required to come to campus for exams.
